The Not-for-Profit Difference

LeadingAge RI members are mission-driven organizations whose primary reason for existence is to meet a community need.

The focus of not-for-profit providers is people – all resources go towards enhancing services and staff, improving facilities, and responding to new community needs – the net result of which is to provide high quality care to our older population and their families.

All not-for-profit providers are accountable to a volunteer board of directors drawn from the community, who ensure the organization stays true to its mission and is an effective provider of services.
