Our nursing home members offer round-the-clock nursing and personal care if someone is too sick or frail to live independently or in an assisted living residence. Skilled, rehabilitative care is also offered for individuals who need to recover from an illness or surgery after a hospital stay. These facilities provide rehabilitative services, such as occupational and physical therapy, and recreational activities.
Some of our members also offer expertise and a separate floor or wing of their home for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Our not-for-profit providers are recognized for providing high quality of care. For example, studies indicate that not-for-profit nursing homes provide a higher quality of care to residents than other types of providers, as evidenced by better staffing and better outcomes.
